Now’s your chance to vote for the title you believe to be the best of 2008, as BAFTA have announced the 10 titles to choose from for the game of the year award.

The choices are obvious, with Grand Theft Auto IV no doubt the favourite thanks to its multiformat appeal. Call of Duty 4 just sneaks in thanks to appearing just after the last awards, so despite its release date, it just manages to take place in numerous different awards.

My pick was Fallout 3. As much as I adore a wide range of the titles on offer (with the exception of Wii Fit, Professor Layton and World of Warcraft: Lich King which I’ve yet to play) Fallout 3 stood tall as a real treat.

It offered all I’d hoped, from a wide and expansive world to explore packed with places to infiltrate, but even managed to include a decent story.
